Here is a really quick and easy recipe for some healthy, super tasty jam. It’s great for the whole family.
Ingredients
- 500 g (17 1/2 oz) Strawberries cleaned and trimmed
- 300 g (10 1/2 oz) Raspberries
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract + pods from 1 vanilla bean
- 3 Fresh dates, pitted or a little stevia but dates are recommended
- 4 Tbs chia seeds
Method
- Combine half of the strawberries (250 g (8 1/2 oz)), vanilla and dates into a high performance blender like a Vitamix
- Blend until smooth
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary – If it’s too sweet add more raspberries, if you would like it more sweet add 1-2 more dates
- Spoon the strawberry puree into a bowl
- Add the chia seeds and stir through
- Smash the raspberries and add to the strawberry puree
- Dice the other 250 g (8 1/2 oz) of strawberries then add to the strawberry puree
- Enjoy!
*Please note – Jam should be consumed within 4-5 days because there are no preservatives in it to keep it fresh for longer
